Reality Check is the youth engagement component of the Tobacco Action Coalition of Long Island that empowers our young people to become change agents within their communities.
Reality Check is a youth-led movement across New York State that empowers young people to become community leaders by exposing the manipulative and deceptive marketing tactics of the tobacco industry, the impact of tobacco product waste on the environment and the benefits of having tobacco and vape-free outdoor spaces.
Youth leaders spread awareness by educating lawmakers, community members and their peers.
Reality Check provides youth opportunities to gain skills in leadership, team building, public speaking and media.
Youth are the primary and creative force leading all projects. TACLI can also train and partner with local youth groups on how to take a stand in their communities by hosting their own activities and spreading awareness.
